OJT vs. Internship (Stembayo's version)

Helloo~ Anybody here? By the way, it's already September and 4 days left before the end of this month! I've already explained about my current activity on this post. Yeap, I'm an On-the-Job Training Student (siswa PKL) in PSDI. Shortly, I've already been an OJT student for almost 3 months. So, what's the point between the title and this sake of talking? Umm, I want to tell you about the difference between Stembayo's OJT and Internship.

In Stembayo, there are some regulations that my friends and I as 4th year student must be obeyed.
One of them is we HAVE TO do OJT or Internship activity as one of graduation requirements.

I'm gonna explain about them briefly! I'm not sure how brief I can make it, tho~ First, I'll explain about OJT.

OJT (On-the-Job Training)
  1. Minimum time is 4 months and maximum time is 6 months. It doesn't matter if the industries or institutes are different.
  2. As a student, we have to submit the OJT proposal to the industry or institute. And also, make two copies of it if the proposal is agreed by the industry.
  3. We can't ask privileges/facilities from the industry.
  4. As a proof that we have almost finished our OJT, we have to fill the OJT certificate form, print, and submit it to school.
Internship
  1. Minimum time is ONE YEAR in a same place (only one industry or institute).
  2. On the contrary, the industry or institute will recruit the students with some specific tests.
  3. Internship student can get some privileges from the industry, such as: salary and other facilities.
  4. Same as OJT, there will be certificate, (not only one but three!) as proofs that we have almost finished the internship. The certificates are OJT, Competence and Internship.
So, I can make those differences into some conclusions:
  • If you want to continue your study (means, you want to attend university), you have to choose OJT.  Because internship is special for students who want to work immediately after graduating.
  • If you want to earn money, choose internship! Frankly enough, huh? #lol
  • If you are an internship student and the industry wants to promote you as their full-time employee, that doesn't mean that you can't continue your study. If you're lucky enough, you can get scholarship from them and attend university XD
After telling so many things, I realize that my grammar and vocabulary are so messed up. Because I never think that I will make this topic into English. So, mind to #cmiiw? :)
